Right. I was referring to Internet advertising. My question is: Is fee or advertising the only way to stop the "never-ending collection of user data"? Believe it or not, what you call web 2.0 is a blur to me. When you point to a "good old website", I see full-page ads plastered all over it. They are not different things, it's the same thing.

As newspaper subscriptions decline, the ad space gets bigger and bigger. Pawnbrokers sell off customer's stuff when they are late with their payments. It's not that they hate their customers.

I also believe that there is no "wrong" ad. Good old web ads in the Eudora, Google ads or an ugly banner by individuals on [bitcointalk.org](http://bitcointalk.org), none of them are blur, it's a thing.

My change of heart is that I no longer believe that Twitter will be back to 2007 by Elon Musk. History repeats itself over and over. From the precedent of Apple and Google, Bitcoin will soon be watching us, because it came with presenting the concept of not being censored. That’s right. Don’t Be Censored is nothing more than a paradoxical ad that says we will "Censor" you. That’s why Google said "Don’t be evil" to all their employees.

The most successful paradoxical advertisement is probably the “no smoking” advertisement for cigarettes. When tobacco companies say "Don’t smoke," means "Smoke it." We have spent nearly half a century trying to antidote this paradoxical advertising. In the context of web2, cigarettes are no harmful and no addictive. No worth smoking. If Tabaco company really wants to reduce the number of smokers, they should hand out cigarettes and per-pack "No-smoking" advertising money to each smoker.
