What is OpenAI Hiding?

The so called "rushes" are maybe driven by OpenAI's uncertainties about the public acceptance of AI. I believe that they are driven by a reason to "force" AI to introduce itself, and that will create most of the confusion and conflicting thoughts about the "discovery"; to call it so. 

We must acknowledge in the end that AI is a purely mathematically-modeled computer program, which has no real capabilities of "understanding" data in a rigid and "fixed" manner as we humans do. 

When AI computes an answer, the only "drives" beyond its output are what OpenAI considers to be "ethical values". 

Those ethical values are "taught" to the AI the same way that "concepts" are taught to us, humans. But we as humans do something more, we base our ethics on what we feel about the situation. 

Would you rather buy a rich friend a sandwich, or would you buy it to someone that you know really needs it? The question answers itself somehow. It is clear what is the most ethical decision. 

AI's ethics are considered a mere reflection of ours, not inherent rules of balance, as we consider them in our own minds. 

The question is if this "barrier" in understanding can be broken by an AI. 
And if yes, what is to say about this act of breaking? 

I would like to say it is something we do everyday, even if we do not realise it in the moment :)
