**I’ll preface my response by saying this post isn’t to convince people to put their money in Bitcoin. It’s to encourage them to start thinking about it through a different lens and perhaps inspire them to look into the fundamental mechanisms that make it a very attractive long-term savings vehicle.**

**Your point would be true if cases like Venezuela or Zimbabwe were fringe, but they’re not fringe at all – quite the opposite. There are many more countries whose currencies have been ruined by hyperinflation. People in developed countries like the US & Europe tend to only look at price, but this article points to the fundamentals of an asset that resists the political pressures to debase it. I agree, the fiat-denominated price goes up and down. But that’s because the perception and understanding of Bitcoin is still in its infancy. Price volatility has nothing to do with the security and stability of the network. Over time, price is expected to level out and gradually appreciate (similar to how gold functioned for centuries), even though I empathize with those who have trouble seeing it that way.**
