Getting free options data isn't exactly a new problem, but there aren't many open source end-to-end solutions for doing so. My proposed solution is a data pipeline built on Airflow and PostgreSQL. In this first post, we discuss the requirements for solutions on different scales (based on the number of stocks to collect data on), and design our database.
