Kamala Harris is the first woman of color, Black and Indian descent, on a major party ticket. She is the embodiment of black and brown America. The next round of change, we can hope to see, is the increased funding of Black women startups, who all lead the pack when it comes to being marginalized. Women of color represent 39% of the total female population in the U.S., but only account for 89% of net new women-owned businesses per day (1.625)
