**REYKJAVIK, Iceland, July 30th, 2024/GamingWire/--**The Machines Arena(TMA)the competitive hero shooter for PC and Android devices developed by Directive Games, has announced the start of their Play 2 Airdrop, an 8-week event offering players the chance to earn points and secure $TMA tokens. This event blends entertainment with earning potential.
The Play 2 Airdrop event is now live, inviting players to engage in a variety of activities both within and outside of the game. Participants can accumulate points that determine their rank on the P2A Leaderboard, directly influencing the amount of $TMA tokens they will receive during the upcoming Token Generation Event (TGE).
“This is a huge milestone for Directive Games, our team, and the amazing community we've been building The Machines Arena for on the Ronin Network,” said Kent Byers, Chief Product Officer. “This is not the finish line—there's so much more we want to do and deliver. But it definitely marks an important step where both our existing and new players can dive into TMA, earn new rewards, and enjoy some high-stakes competition.”
“Personally, I view this as reaching the best of both worlds,” said Kristján Einar Kristjánsson, Marketing Director at Directive Games. “Adding the incentives that W3 gaming has to offer to a game that is already proven as a team-based PVP multiplayer in a competitive sense makes this the gaming experience I have been looking for. We have been working closely with the community to bring in the features that players want, building the game users want to play, bear or bull.”

Play 2 Airdrop is a gamified rewards system where players earn points through a range of activities:
Players must actively participate in the event to climb the P2A Leaderboard and maximize rewards. Key steps include playing at least 20 matches and acquiring a VIP membership at least once. VIP Memberships are available in 4 tiers, with increasingly higher rewards depending on the tier.
Active participation from the community is crucial to unlocking additional token allocations. The P2A event includes community milestones organized into eight categories, each with five sections:
Collective Participation: Every member’s involvement counts towards completing these milestones.
Unlocking Bonuses: Completing sections and categories increases the total token allocation, potentially elevating it from 3% to 7%.
To achieve this, Directive Games has developed a powerful tech stack that includes a proprietary backend for developing large persisted worlds, a generative AI-tool chain, and proceduralism. Its upcoming titles, The Machines Arena, powered by the Ronin blockchain, and Civitas, the first community-owned strategy MMO, are no exception, prioritizing player agency and utilizing digital collectibles and ownership to create truly engaging experiences.
