I am Tadeas, and I work as a Growth Marketer over at UXtweak. As younger, I was playing around with WordPress and HTML. After my dreams of making a ton of money running ads on my sites were crushed by the cruel reality (I was a teen, don't judge me :). I realized how important digital marking is, so I started to take an interest in it. Now I am happy to say I am putting both of my interests to good use at my work. What's your company called? And in a sentence or two, what does it do? We are - a user experience (UX) research platform providing tools for usability testing, information architecture research, behavior analytics, and conversion rate optimization for websites, web apps, and prototypes. UXtweak Simply said - intuitive and user-centered ( ). we provide everything you need to make your websites better What is the origin story? UXtweak started as an idea of when he realized that there needs to be a better and more accessible way to test your websites than an expensive testing session in UX laboratory. He set out to bring the experience of high-level UX research into the online world, making it more affordable, faster, and simpler. Eduard Kuric (UX researcher, developer, and then Lead of UX laboratory) He put together a team of developers and UX researchers and started working on it. He quickly realized that even though he had awesome developers and researchers, he needed someone to take care of marketing. Now, comes into the picture. After Eduard presented the idea to him, he not only agreed to take care of marketing but bought a share of the company, and he became our enthusiastic CEO. Lubomir Lajos (CEO of a marketing agency, ex developer, and once Eduard's college) What do you love about your team? They are not afraid of difficult challenges, we are a self-funded startup in a competitive market, and our competitors have millions in funding, but that doesn’t stop us. They are innovators and top of their fields but are still down-to-earth people you can have a lot of fun with on teambuilding. If you weren’t working at your company, what would you be doing? I would be working in a marketing team in a different tech startup. At the moment, how do you measure success? What are your core metrics? Most of our efforts go towards improving our platform. We often release new tools and functionalities for our customers to use. So we care a lot about the satisfaction of our users, which I think should be one of the most important metrics for companies to take note of. Business-wise the most important metrics for us are recurring revenue and conversion rates of our website. We also cannot forget about the traffic on the website, brand mentions, or positions on the Google search result page. What’s most exciting about your company traction to date? For me, it is the fact that our team has already created a product that can cover all the stages of the development cycle - from prototypes to finished products. With UXtweak, you won't spend time and money building a product that users cannot use. What technologies are you currently most excited about and most worried about? And why? I am very intrigued by artificial intelligence. On the one hand, I am very excited about it as I believe it has the potential to be one of the greatest inventions of mankind. On the other hand, I feel it could become a threat if misused, so it makes me excited and worried at the same time. At UXtweak, we have big plans for AI as well. We are planning to implement AI into the process of usability testing, making the need for human testers obsolete. Such a solution would be a huge innovation allowing our users to get instant feedback at a fraction of the cost. What drew you to get published on HackerNoon? What do you like most about our platform? HackerNoon is the platform where I always find great content on the topics I am interested in. It is a great source of inspiration and knowledge. I also love the overall feeling of the platform - the design is unique. What advice would you give to the 21-year-old version of yourself? To set clear objectives and to-do lists every day to combat procrastination. I would tell him to look into and start implementing time blocking straightaway. What is something surprising you've learned this year that your contemporaries would benefit from knowing? That taking care of your body is very important, and the sooner you start, the better. Since I started working out, I never felt better. I have more energy, focus, confidence, and my back hurts less!
