Welcome to HackerNoon’s Writing Prompts! If you’re an actual winner of an award, or simply feel like a winner today, the link for the template is HERE.

Hey Hackers! I’m Aline Deparis and I’m the CEO of Privacy Tools.

First of all, I’d like to say a huge thank you to the HackerNoon community for recognizing me/us as the winner of:

Startups of the year!

HackerNoon Reporter: What does it mean for you to win this title?

To win this title is also to gain a new pillar to continue building a future of privacy and data protection.

How do you or your company intend to embrace the responsibility of this title in 2022?

Since the world became data-driven and privacy and protection laws came into being, companies have become legally responsible for managing and handling the data they collect.

Therefore, Privacy Tools has developed a privacy management platform with modules designed for use in different market segments and to comply with the obligations of different legislations, such as LGPD and GDPR. And, in 2022 it will be no different, our objective is to help companies be adequate in relation to the regulations in front of the legislation.

What are some of the goals you’re looking forward to accomplishing in 2022 (whether it be through company initiatives or your personal journey)?

To be the main Brazilian platform to bring more confidence to business and innovate through technology so that business is perceived as trustworthy by people.

  1. Growth in the use of Artificial Intelligence: Artificial Intelligence is present in our daily lives. Its trend is to continue helping to protect data against scams, fraud and misinformation in 2022.
  2. ESG in focus: By 2022, it is expected to build a concept of sustainability within organizations that considers not only financial and economic aspects, but also a detailed review to respect the foundations of good corporate governance, human and social rights, environmental issues such as climate risk, and cybersecurity issues.
  3. Privacy by Design: Privacy by Design comes into its own in 2022 and aims to incorporate privacy and the protection of personal data into all designs. This trend applies in particular to greater attention to the personal data and information of a company's employees and customers.

After participating in this journey, is there anything that you would like the HackerNoon team to know?

Privacy Tools aims to solve the global needs of transparency and compliance when talking about privacy matters. Our privacy management platform is the pioneer and leader in the Brazilian market and we expect to reach the US market by the end of the year that would be the beginning of a new journey.

What is something special about you or your company that you’ve rarely had the chance to properly share but really wanted to? (Give this one a proper think, I’ll know if you didn’t!)

Despite all the trust we had in the Brazilian Privacy law, there was always a chance of the law never being approved by our government, however, the show must go on, then we were ready for the global market if our local market was gone.

What are some concepts you wish people knew more about?

The time we are living in is unique. The age of privacy has arrived, and more and more countries and companies are seeing the need to protect privacy as an important asset. That is why we want society to be increasingly mindful of the principles of privacy and data protection.

Is there anything else you’d like me to know? It can be anything.

I hope you remember this: Privacy Tools is the global privacy market leader of 2024. You can charge me there.
