Google was knocked offline for millions of people worldwide. Main services affected were Google Cloud Platform and Google Workspace (GSuite) Google infrastructure is distributed, with servers across all continents. But it's important to note that these depend on each other and are controlled centrally. They are upgraded centrally. They talk to each other through a central system - not just by using the same protocol, but through a shared software that is operated by the same employees. With the Web 3.0, (decentralised) services are built the same as the Internet itself - they're unstoppable and uncensorable.
