Should EA or BioWare revamp and reboot Anthem, or should they call it quits on the title?

I think Anthem's release was an embarrassment. The game is too far gone and beyond fixing. Cut your losses and kill it for good.

I got the EA pass to play it for a bit when it came out and I honestly think it's got potential. They have a fantastic movement system and the sound and visuals are top notch. Having nothing to do can be fixed given enough time. There are always the examples of No Man's Sky and FFXIV for comeback stories and I'm sure Bioware will have the money to pump in after they release the Mass Effect remake. I also love Iron Man's earlier suit designs so I am obviously biased

What do you guys think needs to fixed for it to be a good playable game

I think its greatest problem is the lack of content. It's like Destiny 2 at launch with great systems and visuals with nothing else. It needs more interesting loot, more levels and, well, more everything. If Anthem were to follow Destiny, it would need loot to chase with something as desirable as exotics as well as randomised loot if it were to follow its "games as a service" model. It would also need something to do with them. Destiny has its PvP and raids. Last I checked, Anthem didn't have anything as compelling

It needs an actual campaign with interesting things to do. Fort Tarsis is badly built and laid out. The game world itself is equally boring with little to do.

Hmm I haven't played it, but this sounds eerily similar to the problems people mentioned about Fallout 76 when it first came out.

It's a fairly common issue with those kinds of games. They're only as good as their grind imo. The same issues existed with Division 2 at launch and the Avengers game.

Yeah, I agree, the game needs a much better grind. I'm hoping EA gives it another shot. Avengers is another example of how games as a service model can fail if it's not supported correctly.

Support is really key. It really bummed me out when I heard that the team handing Anthem NEXT was only 30 people. Bioware really needed to commit to redoing it for any hope for success. Hilariously, Assassin's Creed Valhalla has more content released post-launch than Anthem has and it doesn't even need it!
