Gaming is one of the most interesting spaces in the tech space at the moment. And it’s easy to see how. Everyone loves games, and we all love the feeling that we get when we win. Considering the evolution of the industry over the past three decades or so, there is a lot to be excited about as far as the future of gaming is concerned.

Interestingly, while many people have looked more towards the evolution of gaming in terms of devices, there is a new evolution that gripped the industry over the past two years and which is starting to catch on.

This evolution is the move-to-earn model. With move-to-earn, games essentially incentivize players to move and be more active. Instead of just staying home and playing games, you can be physically active, earn, and optimize your chances at success.

The move-to-earn model is a subset of blockchain gaming - where players have more control over the games they play and can win tangible rewards - as opposed to traditional games, where rewards are no more than intangible items that don’t yield anything. In move-to-earn, players are incentivized to move and take action, and they earn cryptocurrencies as a result.

The opportunity to earn money is where move-to-earn shines. And, over the past year or two, the trend has caught on and attracted more people. As such, several traditional games have also made the switch to this model as they hope not to be left behind.

Heralding this trend is Ninja Warriors - a new game that incorporates concepts like the metaverse and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) into its move-to-earn module. With Ninja Warrior, players enjoy a combat-style environment as well as the opportunity to earn in different methods. We spoke to Jason Chan, the game’s founder, and developer, about his plans for the future, their overview of the industry, and how they believe move-to-earn could be the key to unlocking the potential for blockchain gaming.

How has the move to move-to-earn helped Ninja Warrior from a customer acquisition point of view?

M2E models provide customers more way with financial incentives, promote healthier lifestyles, offer more ways to valuable digital assets, foster community engagement ( with P2E AND M2E), increase engagement and retention, and democratize opportunities. This synergy creates a more comprehensive and immersive gaming experience where players are motivated to both engage in physical activities and excel within the game.

Has the market slide affected your ability to acquire and retain customers?

No, market slides can also create opportunities for customer education and awareness. We offer innovative products, services, and unique value propositions (DBUSD, M2E, P2E).

What do you believe to be the future of the blockchain gaming industry?

As blockchain technology becomes more accessible and user-friendly, we can expect to see increased adoption of blockchain gaming by mainstream audiences. As blockchain infrastructure and smart contract capabilities improve, we may see more sophisticated and diverse P2E AND M2E mechanics integrated into games. Users can access and transfer their assets across multiple games or virtual worlds. The way P2E M2E is played, owned, and monetized creates new opportunities for developers, players, and investors.

Besides the prospect of earning money, what else should players be excited about with your game?

Players can emphasize their ownership and control over their in-game assets or personal data. Players have the opportunity to acquire unique and scarce in-game items or digital assets. P2E AND M2E can create a vibrant and supportive community, add excitement, camaraderie, and the opportunity for players to connect with like-minded individuals from around the world. Players can extend beyond the gaming realm and have real-world impact. Innovative gameplay and exploration of new technologies.

Conclusion

Move-to-earn is a revolution in the traditional gaming space that is only going to get bigger. And, as more people fall in love with unconventional rewards, we expect to see the massive appeal for the industry subset going forward.
