This story is a part of Hacker Noon's Meet the Writer series of interviews. The series is intended for tech professionals contributing the most insightful Hacker Noon stories to share more about their writing habits, ideas, and professional background (and maybe a hobby or two).
My name is Sergey Prilutskiy, I’m an “IT specialist” :) I’ve dealt with computers since my childhood. I’ve been a system administrator in a school, a network engineer in first Internet providers, a security researcher and a reverse engineer at the university, a software developer/team lead/architect in many companies - including top Internet companies and projects with hundreds of millions of users - and a lecturer in multiple universities, teaching information security and cryptography for many years.
Now, I’m a co-founder of blockchain company, MixBytes, where I work in the research department.
The last story on HN was about Self-Sovereign Identity, and simplе and reliable mechanics of authorisation on web sites without any external parties, allowing users to fully control their identities by themselves, greatly decreasing risks of being hacked, blocked, or censored and allowing to use their accounts in multiple services. Kind of a “login with Google” without Google.
I usually write about interesting aspects of software, related to decentralization, cryptography, security, try to describe key algorithms and protocols to help technical specialists more deeply understand this topics, because, in my opinion, it’s a new kind of software, that can bring tons of new possibilities to humanity
When some interesting topic comes out from my own experience in solutions design, working on projects, I try to describe key points in the article, trying to make it short, but informative enough to be read effectively by other people.
The main challenge is not to write too much about my own thoughts in the areas, where I’m not a specialist, like politics or philosophy.
To build a billion-dollar company with a crystal-clear reputation in blockchain area, providing important services for people all around the globe.
To do something significant with a startup related to space exploration - become an angel investor, engineer, friend, consultant. Space always was my dream, since childhood.
My family and friends, music composition, marital arts, fishing, travels and many-many more..
Articles about blockchain and DeFi algorithms, protocols, security, infrastructure, etc.
There is no knowledge without understanding.
