DAVOS/SWITZERLAND, 23JAN13 — James Dimon, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, JPMorgan Chase & Co., USA is listens during the session ‘The Global Financial Context — Reinforcing Critical Systems’ at the Annual Meeting 2013 of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, January 23, 2013 (Copyright by World Economic Forum. . swiss-image.ch/Photo Remy Steinegger)
While announcing his upcoming keynote speaking engagement, legendary computer scientist, successful blockchain and cryptocurrency investor, John McAfee, taunts JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon and challenges him to an onstage duel, to debate blockchain, ethereum, cryptocurrency and new tokens like Replay Token (http://www.replaytoken.com).
In a city best known for boxers pummeling each other in the 1980’s and 1990’s, McAfee offered a new fight to take place on the stage of Harrah’s Atlantic city at the Blockchain World Conference, and they promise thousands of eager cryptocurrency investors will be in attendance.
Not since the fisticuffs of George Foreman, Evander Holifield, Mike Tyson, James “Buster” Douglas, Leon Spinks, Arturo Gatti and others graced the stages in Atlantic City, have we seen any braggadocios challenge like this one coming from McAfee.

John McAfee said, “You don’t have to hang yourself!”
In a YouTube video ()posted on the Blockchain World Conference website, McAfee immediately fires off jabs at those whom he considers his opponents. He takes direct aim at Dimon offering a bare-knuckled billionaire brawl, while staring directly into the camera and telling Dimon, “You don’t have to hang yourself!”
“If you’re stupid enough to buy it, you’ll pay the price for it one day,” Jamie Dimon said in response to a moderator question at an Institute of International Finance conference, according to CNBC.
Many people in the cryptocurrency community were angry when Dimon stated that he believed that Bitcoin was a fraud.
He later recanted that remark, As told by CNBC, Dimon stated on Fox Business that “I regret making that comment. “The blockchain is real,” Dimon added in the interview. He went on further to state that you have look at every ICO individually.
It is easy to see why he recanted. With the intense demand of initial coin offerings, digital currency sales were $13.7 billion during the first half of 2018, more than double what was raised by ICO’s last year, according to Investopedia, quoting a report released by PwC consulting firm and Switzerland’s Crypto Valley Association. He could see the writing on the wall.
McAfee is seen by some in this community as a gallant fighter for the rights of cryptocurrency against the invading hoard of aging wind bag bankers.
According to Wikipedia, McAfee was the founder of what is considered to be the first commercial software company, McAfee and Associates, after he had successful stints with NASA, Univac, Xerox, Computer Sciences Corp and Lockheed among the notable companies he worked.
According to the Blockchain World Conference (BWC) YouTube page, they have “invited both McAfee and Dimon to the BWC.”
It remains to be seen if Dimon will respond to McAfee. If he does he should bring some gloves and some smelling salts with him. Just in case, you know…
