Too Long; Didn't Read

The dark web is a shadowy online marketplace where victims are held captive by cyber extortionists, and stolen data is traded. It is hidden away in the shadows of the internet. This was the reality of LockBit's dark web domain, a platform the notorious ransomware gang used to extort businesses and organizations worldwide. According to the Department of Justice, LockBit earned itself 2,000 victims and made over $120 million in revenue from shady data deals and ransom payments. But luckily, after global cooperation, this virtual den of evil has been shut down, a major victory for international law enforcement.
