I’m HR/PR & Co Founder at Sphynx Network.
I identify and build relationships with the media and understand and influence the conversation. Furthermore, I work with competitors across broadcast, online, and social media platforms.
I’m furthermore a crypto enthusiast, specializing in volatile, mostly decentralized assets.
I’m certified as a human resources inspector, supporting the development and implementation of HR/PR initiatives and systems, while providing counseling on policies and procedures.
Why did you choose this field in the first place?
I like working with people and developing ideas with them.
What tech are you most excited/passionate about right now and why?
Most of the Crypto market.
For young professionals or investors, cryptocurrencies sound like the business of the future.
Although many people tend to buy only a few units to keep, hoping for potential growth in the future, active investors are dedicated to buying and selling crypto, maximizing their profit and revenue.
What tech are you most worried about right now and why?
The aim of keeping up with the rate of technological innovation is something that irritates me.
There is always something fresh to discover. It is critical for the firm and its employees to be well-informed in order to thrive in today's competitive marketplace. Adapting tactics to meet changing needs is a must.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of tech?
Since I am a mother of two cats, spending time with them makes me feel better :) Besides, I am always keen on keeping my time productive by reading books.
**Let's talk about breaking the glass ceiling. What were the biggest challenges you faced as a woman in tech, and how did you deal with them?
**
Being a woman CO-Founder in tech was initially challenging, pertaining to a male-dominated environment. Although the time is changing, there is still a preconceived notion that women can’t do better in the tech sector.
Any interesting misogynistic story/situation you faced/handled, and you want to share with the HackerNoon Fam?
As of right now, I haven't encountered anything like this.
There is a shift in people's beliefs and perceptions as the world changes throughout time. One of the most significant achievements in the fight against sexism is the progress made in the fields of education and ethics.
Women nowadays are more self-reliant than they've ever been. They want to make their imprint on every aspect of the business they are a part of.
What was the biggest setback/failure that you faced, and how did you manage it?
Things were a bit difficult in the midst of the worldwide epidemic of covid-19. We had no idea what was going to happen at the moment. Even in the face of a sudden lockdown crisis, there is so much at risk, such as a transition to a remote office, communication gaps, and flexible working hours.
Since our team collaborated and made swift organizational policy adjustments in tandem, we were able to shine through.
What's your biggest achievement that you're really proud of?
My biggest achievement of all time is customer satisfaction. This is what really makes me happy! To ensure that the best service is disseminated to the clients, our team worked on various aspects.
In your opinion, why do we see this huge gender gap in the tech industry, and how can we reduce it?
Gender disparities in the workplace have a long history, and this is no different in the IT sector.
The gender gap is, in my opinion, a product of the social environment we've built. Because they believe that the technology business is controlled by males, women tend to stay away from it.
Another reason why women aren't entering the IT field is because of society's preconceptions about what women can and can't do.
Who is your tech idol? Why?
HEDY LAMARR.
Hedy was a famous actress, however, her talents did not stop there. Hedy worked on various inventions, was completely self-taught, and did not receive any formal training in technology.
Hedy’s greatest invention was her Secret Communication System, a frequency hopping device, that she created with the help of George Antheil. The key purpose of this device was to set radio-guided torpedoes off course during the war, which became the basis for many modern-day inventions, such as Wifi, GPS, and Bluetooth.
Do you have any advice for aspiring girls who want to join the field?
People have a lot of misconceptions about females working in the tech industry. My advice to emerging entrepreneurs is to never question yourself.
Whatever you do, have trust in it. Even if you fail many times, never give up hope. Without action, you can never know how your efforts will turn out. As a result, keep going after it until you do.
You may learn a lot from other people's errors as well as from your own. Keep your head in the game and your attitude upbeat.
Trying to turn a hobby or interest into a company may lead to poor time management and a constant infatuation with the business itself. Take a moment to think about the people you care about.
