Internet users around the world were unable to access major online platforms like Amazon, Hulu, CNN, The Guardian, The New York Times, Reddit, Spotify and Twitch, after a cloud computing network run by US-based tech firm, Fastly, was hit by a major software bug. The incident had severe repercussions for many people, including Twitch streamers, journalists, and people stuck at home due to the pandemic. We got a very very small taste of the true power of the Internet, especially in light of the Fastly incident.
