TLDR The Project team develops the architecture, the Project Team develops the features, the AM team develops new features with new technologies, the team of the cool guys. The AM team often faces a much tougher job than the Project team. The right experience is required at the start of any significant Project, we have limited knowledge of the problem we are called to solve. Critical architectural decisions can not be made at the beginning but have to be made when the unknowns start to reveal themselves.
