What's Your Favorite Fictional Universe?

With so many great fictional stories that surround us, we can't help but have a special place in our hearts for the universes where they take place. In this slogging thread, the participants of the random channel discussed what's their favorite fictional universe, taking into consideration all their perks and advantages.

Sara Pinto There are a lot, but Harry Potter Universe, Shadow and Bone, and Marvel. Unfortunately, they'd only be fun to be a part of if you had the powers/magic to begin with. But I think whatever world involves magic and superpowers is quite fun - a good distraction from the real world. What is your favorite fictional world?

Harry Potter hands down…although I'm not a big fan of JKR :smiling_face_with_tear:

Mónica Freitas It's a close battle between the Harry Potter universe and the Dragon Ball one. But of course, in my mind, all the perks, magic and whatnot, are included in the package haha. For now, we will have to settle for smaller experiences like visiting the studios in England or the theme park in Orlando. Have you ever been to one of them?

Linh Smooke I can relate :smiling_face_with_tear: I had her in such a high standard when I was younger. It angered me to discover all this. I will definitely give it a read!

definitely Star Wars, I love the universe, the lore and all the characters. Darth Vader is my favorite antagonist of all time!

Linh Smooke Yup, after finding that out, I immediately crossed her out of things to put my money in. She's talented, but I'm not supporting that kind of reasoning. There are so many great writers on the "light side" that it just isn't worth it. Another thing that crushed the fangirl in me was her denial of a famous rumor about "Livraria Lello," a historical bookshop in Porto (Portugal) being one of the inspirations for the moving stairs... Portuguese Potterheads were triggered that day 😅

Yeah, I've visited the Warner Bros studios in London. It's fun because you get to see the scenarios used in the movies and the props! I recommend going during the winter as they add fake snow everywhere.

Jack Boreham I have to admit: I don't think I ever saw all the movies haha. But I can see the hype, I mean, lightsabers are pretty cool. To be fair, I don't even know which is the right way to see them, which way would you recommend?

Mónica Freitas I will definitely check that out, I can already see my childhood dreams becoming true!

I'm gonna throw an oddball one out here and say the universe of Video Game High School hahah I would live in this universe immediately. It's a world where video games are the most important thing:

Limarc Ambalina Oh, that's definitely something different! I've never heard of it, but it does seem interesting. I mean, imagine being ok with video games being the big thing and not always hearing that every inconvenience is because you are playing. No more of "that game is rotting your brain" or "yeah, you have pimples (or whatever) because of those damn games" 😂

I love everything that's related like with magic and magical creatures haha. I loved a lot the universe created among the vampire diaries, the originals and legacies. If waaaay fictional haha but I love it.

Sara Pinto, I would watch them in their proper order, 1-6 (I'm not including bs 7-9). There are a few different ways to watch them, but you can't beat the OG method.

Daniel Guzman The more fictional the better! We already have reality, give us something else haha

Khamisi Hamisi I sense that we should start a Harry Potter fan club right here in the slogging community haha. I definitely agree, but personally, I'd rather fight the crazy lady haha

Jack Boreham I'll have that in mind, and I might give it chance. Maybe it's the start of a new favorite fictional world for me haha. Thank you!
