Good question, Jose. I'd probably have to go with the God Eater anime based on the game series. For one thing, great animation from ufotable, and it had an interesting, bleak post-apocalyptic setting.

Jeffrey, is it something someone who has never played the games can get into?

I absolutely loved Halo Legends even if it basically broke canon. Anime Halo is such a strange creation yet added so much depth to the series. It was the first visual look at the Elites outside of the war and a interesting look at Sanghelios years before Guardians

What would be your choices? Jack and Limarc

Nicolas, I never knew Halo had an animated film. I’ll have to check it out!

My choice would have to be the Injustice comics based on the game series. It details Superman’s transformation from a hero to an authoritarian, and explains how the rest of the heroes either joined him or rebelled.

On the subject of comic books, another choice would have to be the short Overwatch comics that were released some time ago.

Since Overwatch doesn’t have a campaign mode, it could be hard to know about the lore and the world of the game. So, those comics adding a little more info about the characters goes a long way towards fleshing out the story

Great question! I have a few. I really liked Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children. The film blew me away at the time. It showed me just how much CGI has grown.

Perhaps the best though for me was The Witcher TV series. It introduced the world and the lore without overloading the audience, making it digestible even for people who have never played the games before.

I still need to watch The Witcher!
