I bought mine last year and was just under 600. It's an HP 15. So far, it works perfectly, a little damaged on the outside, but that's on me haha
Not so much for work. My desktop PC is faster so I prefer to work on it. I mostly use my laptop for binging series ahahah. Mine is a Lenovo, can't remember the model, but I wouldn't recommend it.

It depends on how you're planning to use it. If you're going to need specific programs, heavy ones, the laptop is still a better option. If you just want an extra gadget, go for it. I wouldn't buy it simply because between my phone and pc, I got everything I need aha.
It depends on your use case. If nothing too demanding I’d recommend finding a used Macbook Air. I don’t know about the UK but in used shops in Japan they go for around $250 - $350 USD
Just google docs and word, to be honest, nothing too intensive. Limarc Ambalina, that might be a good shout. I think they go for around that here as well. Blake Cram Abeer what do you guys think?

Assuming you’re not locked into the Apple Ecosystem, the Asus Vivobook series might be right up your alley. Generally, they have well-rounded specs and a light, travel-friendly design. If you’re planning to possibly game a bit on the side, you can pay a little extra to get an Acer Nitro (or if it’s not a dealbreaker, grab a refurbished one).

I'm with Limarc on this one. Finding a used Macbook would be a great choice. I'm a PC guy through and through but I can't deny how intuitive and efficient the Macbook workflow is.
Abeer, thank you for the advice bro, I was locked but escaped haha. I will have a look at this. Would you recommend a MacBook? Any reasons why you wouldn't? After all, they are pretty efficient.

Jack Boreham, I've actually locked into the Apple Ecosystem myself. As a developer, Macs just make everything simple and seamless. 😅 Everyone else around me seems to be Windows folks though (Ahh, I remember those days). If you’ve used a MacBook and had a good experience with it, I would definitely recommend you get one if you find one within your budget. Apple really doubles down on their user experience so it’ll probably be worth it even if you’re just doing simple Office Suite tasks.

Abeer, I completely agree! What do you think about an apple iPad pro? Worth it? I've never had an apple mac but I know the convenience of it!
