TLDR
The first part of a series on weird things about golang is a short-hand syntax for declaring and initialising variables in golang. There is no JAVA error like, but there is also no NULL values like NODEJS like MR STARK WE WON! There are default values for int/float, string and boolean variables respectively and by the docs, there are known as zero-valued variables.
