Google acquired Fitbit for $ US 2.1 billion earlier this year. Fitbit users are fearful about how their personal health data will be handled by Google. Google already has a treasure trove of data on people, including search history, YouTube viewing history, and location data. Google also creates advertisement profiles of users, based on information like location, relationship status, gender, interests, age, income, possible weight, and career.
