iPad Pro with the M1 Processor

The all-new 2021 iPad Pro comes with the Mind-blowing M1 Apple chip which consists of 8-GPU cores and 16-Neural cores. The iPad isn't just fast, it's next-level in terms of performance for a tablet. And with the M1 chip being extremely power efficient, Apple has claimed that it can last up to a full day from a single charge, making it powerful but portable.
The M1 chip delivers 50 percent faster performance in the CPU class and 40 percent faster performance in the GPU side of things, making it a viable option to play console-quality games at high frame rates or create AR models altogether.

Liquid Retina XDR Display

The 12.9" variant of the iPad Pro comes packed with the Liquid Retina XDR display at 2732-by-2048-pixel resolution with 264 pixels per inch (PPI). It peaks up to 1600 nits brightness with 1000 nits full-screen brightness and has a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 giving it a true-to-life detail. It also comes packed with an Adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz which Apple is calling ProMotion.
Alongside the P3 wide color gamut as well as Truetone support, it provides for an all-around great experience for editing HDR Videos and photos or enjoying movies and TV shows.
The display is powered by over 10,000 mini LEDs, which are 120 times smaller than the previous generation of iPad displays. Alongside the mini LEDs, they've used custom optical films as well as diffusers to mix the light
efficiently, helping Apple fit the display in a 6.4mm thin design of the iPad Pro.
The mini LEDs are being grouped into more than 2,500 local dimming zones. Whatever the content, the brightness in each of the zones is adjusted precisely to achieve 1,000,000:1 contrast, making the all-new iPad Pro's display fully breathtaking.

WiFi and 5G support

iPads have been known to have incredibly fast WiFi and cellular options even before. Now the iPad Pro packs a punch with 5G support as well as WiFi 6, allowing it to have top-notch cellular speed's by having the largest number of 5G bands in any of the devices of its kind, as well as fast wireless connection whenever needed.
So whether it's a bus stand or a coffee shop, you can enjoy your TV shows and movies or upload multiple contents on the go without any delay.

Cameras on the iPad Pro

The iPad Pro features a new Ultra Wide 12MP front-facing - sensor that allows for a 122-degree field of view, allowing it to be the perfect Facetime device.
Alongside that, their new Center Stage feature, which allows the TrueDepth camera alongside Machine learning technology(AI) to recognize a user and keep them in the center of Facetime or a video call. So however you move around - the camera will pan around automatically to keep you in the center.
If there are multiple people in the video call or Facetime, the Center Stage feature will zoom out to fit everyone in the view, focusing on the bunch to keep everyone in the shot. However, Apple has confirmed that the Center Stage feature does not work on pets, so if a dog or a cat interrupts your Facetime or video call, rest assured the Center Stage feature will not prioritize following them and will make sure you're still in the shot!
The rear of the iPad Pro consists of the 12MP Wide Camera as well as
the 10MP Ultra-wide camera, with the Image Signal Processing as powerful as the M1's chip. The results of the camera will be far superior to the previous generation of iPad's. This generation of iPad Pro's camera also features Smart HDR 3 capability.
LiDAR Scanner on the iPad Pro's camera allows for it to measure how
long it will take objects to reflect backlight so it can create a depth and
unlock immersive AR experience.
Alongside the Image Signal Processing of the M1 chip, it helps to accurately focus videos and images in low-light conditions and reduce the time it's taken to capture a shot.

Thunderbolt support

The all-new iPad Pro now comes with the Thunderbolt port, allowing up
to 40Gbps bandwidth for wired connections. This allows users to transfer huge data at extreme speed, while the port allows for other USB-C connectors or accessories to plug-and-play, without much hassle.
So you can plug in a display, external storage, or dock to your iPad pro or even the Pro Display XDR at its full 6K resolution.

iPadOS

iPadOS is built on the same foundation as iOS, however offering different experiences that are built strictly for the iPad, allowing you to multitask easily:
  • navigate with a trackpad
  • copy and paste handwritten notes with Scribble
  • allowing for more Compact calls that do not take up the whole display when someone's calling you on your iPad(this also works for third-party apps)
  • new App Design
  • Search bar
  • Redesigned widgets
iPadOS is something the iPad community has been looking forward to - as it brings a lot of versatility for the user.
