TLDRvia the TL;DR App

The US National Highway Administration has recently announced that Tesla Motors, Inc. Has launched a recall campaign tied to issues that could expose consumers to major risks.

The official recall report has announced that the recalled 2016 Model X vehicles were manufactured between September 2015 and March 2016. Since these vehicles come with third row seat backs that could move forward due to pressure from the vehicle’s back load in the event of a frontal collision, the company decided to launch the recall announcement promptly.

According to the official announcement, the issues associated with the recalled Tesla vehicles represent a failure to comply with important federal safety standards tied to seating systems.

Tesla has claimed that all impacted vehicle owners will be contacted directly. According to the NHTSA, the company has already started contacting impacted vehicle owners.

Once vehicles are inspected at authorized dealers, the affected third row seats will be replaced entirely or free.

If you’re a Tesla Model X owner and your vehicle has been impacted, contact Tesla for more details on how to make sure that your vehicle is repaired in full and for free.

Safety advocates urge consumers to avoid ignoring the potential risks associated with this recall so act fast.
