The lovable heroes in a half-shell, Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo, are back in a new arcade-style beat ‘em up from DotEmu. The publisher dropped a brand-new trailer for the upcoming game, titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, which looks to be in the style of the classic 1987 animated series that inspired so many childhoods.
The game is currently in development by Tribute Games, the makers of such titles as Panzer Paladin and Ninja Senki DX. It’s currently listed as “Coming Soon” on Steam. It’s being developed as a multi-platform release for Windows PC and Consoles.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge Trailer

The trailer features mostly original 2D animation of the classic with their classic animated designs, along with the original iconic theme song written by Chuck Lorre. It does show some snippets of gameplay, showing pixel-style graphics inspired by the classic cartoon. Besides the Ninja Turtles, it looks like other fan-favorites such as Bebop and Rocksteady will be back as well, along with countless Foot Clan robots to smash.
DotEmu is also promising the game will take players on a tour of iconic TMNT locations, offer “shell-shocking new abilities” based on classic brawler mechanics, and present a trek through New York City to Dimension X.
At the very least, the trailer is a rockin’ good time with its cover of the classic theme song and seeing the original cartoon designs with some new animation. That video can be viewed here:
