Meet Team Whale

We’re on a mission to help scale-ups unlock the next level of growth in their businesses. 🐳

Whale is 🐳 the Easiest Documentation and Training Tool Out There

They say that cash is king, but in our experience, it’s a culture that makes or breaks a business. We have loads of fun every day BUT we take knowledge transfer REALLY seriously. And Whales too! (Which is why we go deep diving as a team each year!)

Hi, I'm Bram, the Chief Product Officer

We started Whale long before we started Whale because we were trying to solve our own problems in terms of scaling. Now, we help entrepreneurs scale through process documentation and training.

I'm the Chief of Product and work on making sure we're delivering the best product and shipping the best features EVERY day!

But sometimes, I also have to say no to some features…

How We're Disrupting and Improving the Employee Onboarding and Training Industry

Whale isn’t just a product; it is a paradigm that evolves how people align with business ideals and goals. We make procedures, policies, and tribal knowledge accessible through innovative solutions.

We understand that human behavior shapes business processes. A strong consideration in building Whale was not to try and change human behavior in order to adopt a product and create a solution. Instead, we wanted to optimize human behavior and learn from the get-go.

So when we designed the solution, we knew we had to create a seamless integration where business meets team members in order to bring the two closer together.

Standing Out from The Crowd

Whale is the easiest documentation and training tool out there!

And it isn't just because we say so! Our customers voted us Best Support, Best ROI, and a leader in our category in 2023!

We help entrepreneurs and scaling teams centralize all their processes, SOPs, playbooks, and more — so they can quickly onboard, train, and set their teams up for success.

We serve:

  • And every founder who knows that their mission is bigger than they are and they’re going to need a power team to deliver it!

  • Organizations looking to scale

  • Teams hungry for knowledge

Our Predictions and Thoughts on the Employee Onboarding and Training Software Industry in 2023

The Employee Onboarding and Training Software Industry is and will further be disrupted by AI in 2023! This is a fantastic thing because the time is ripe for product advancement!

It's why we developed AI assist™ as a customer feature in helping customers develop SOPs, documentation, and training in a second!

Why we decided to participate in HackerNoon's Startup of the Year awards

Once upon a time, which was actually just back in 2018, my co-founder and Whale's CEO, Gary Vanbutsele, was leading an IT Services Firm.

“I felt I could never get ahead or actually. I just felt that I was constantly putting out fires. And it was my own fault really because I was focused on trying to solve the immediate problem(s) at hand instead of empowering my team to solve them. As the team grew, things just got worse.

I knew we’d never be able to scale the business unless I found a way to do this. And so the seed for Whale was planted. I began to think of ways to empower my team with information and knowledge sharing.

It was like all the lights came on. I realized that we needed to build a pragmatic approach to managing processes in a business environment to enable growth not just for our own business but to help others scale too!”

Of course, this wasn’t the “and they all lived happily ever after” storybook ending. Far from it.

It was just the beginning.

We decided to participate in the Startup of the Year Awards because we're dedicated to continuous improvement and want to contribute to Belgium's global tech offering.

Final Thoughts

We’re on a mission to help scale-ups unlock the next level of growth!

If you think this is as worthy a cause as we do, vote for us today!
