Railgun was founded by Emmanuel Goldstein as a way to enable privacy-preserving smart contract interactions on the smart contract. I believe privacy and self-determination are fundamental human rights that have been eroded with the advent of modern technology. Zero-knowledge proof technology is a system whereby a prover can prove something to a verifier without revealing the details about the thing being verified. Railgun is the latest example of a zero-knowledge proving system used in Railgun – groth16 – and is being developed by Ishan Pandey.via the TL;DR App
