So let’s start! Tell us a bit about yourself. For example, name, profession, and personal interests.

Hi! 👋🏻 My name is Daniil Sitdikov. I'm a senior software engineer with experience in frontend and backend. Recently, I've been exploring AI, and in my free time, I enjoy creating experimental pet projects.

One day, I’ll definitely share something here about it! I’m also a mentor and lecturer in an online Web3 programming school.

Interesting! What was your latest HackerNoon Top story about?

In my last story, I discussed seven great development practices that can help improve your development speed and product quality. If you haven't already, be sure to check it out.

Do you usually write on similar topics? If not, what do you usually write about?

Yes, I guess. My articles are mostly technical and always contain code 😀. For me, writing such stories is also a way to solidify my experience and be helpful to others. I'm a big fan of in-depth elaborated texts that broaden your worldview.

Great! What is your usual writing routine like (if you have one?)

It’s definitely not a one-time exercise. It usually takes about a week to write an article. One of my favorites part is creating visual content. I can spend hours moving items from one place to another in Figma. I usually start writing in Notion or directly in this editor.

If I get tired, I'll postpone it for 1-2 days. Once a section is complete, I use AI tools to improve my writing, ensuring it is clear, concise, and has no grammar mistakes. Once everything is ready, I move it over to HackerNoon.

After letting it sit overnight, I double-check everything and then publish.

Being a writer in tech can be a challenge. It’s not often our main role, but an addition to another one. What is the biggest challenge you have when it comes to writing?

As English is not my first language, I sometimes struggle to express myself fluently. It takes me more than half of the time to choose the right words. Another challenge is organizing my experiences into well-structured paragraphs.

Finally, generating ideas is also tricky. With so many articles available on the internet, I wonder how mine will be useful to the world.

What is the next thing you hope to achieve in your career?

My dream is to work on well-known and innovative products. Ideally, I want to create something from scratch that will be used by millions of happy users around the world. Whether it's my own company or I'm just an employee, it doesn't matter.

Wow, that’s admirable. Now, something more casual: What is your guilty pleasure of choice?

I love sweet protein bars! Even though fast-acting carbs can spoil the skin on my face, sometimes I can't resist.

Do you have a non-tech-related hobby? If yes, what is it?

During my spare time, I enjoy doing yoga, working out in the gym, and hiking. Since I spend most of my time lying on the sofa in different positions with my laptop, these activities help me stay fit and relaxed. Previously, I used to record podcasts about healthy and nonviolent communication.

What can the HackerNoon community expect to read from you next?

As everyone talks about AI nowadays, I guess people expect to read something about how ChatGPT will replace us. Just kidding! In reality, I'm eager to explore the world of software engineering further.

Currently, I'm working on an article about tech interviews and the role of coding challenges in them. This article sets the bar for me, and I plan to write future articles with the same level of detail and elaboration.

What’s your opinion on HackerNoon as a platform for writers?

I have experience with other platforms, and I have options to compare. First of all, I was impressed by how friendly and engaging the platform is. It's great that real editors can help you, and it feels like joining a true tech community.

I particularly appreciate the authentic design, interesting copywriting from buttons to emails, AI generators, and auto-save feature. Overall, in my opinion, this platform is the best. Thank you for such amazing work!

Thanks for taking time to join our “Meet the writer” series. It was a pleasure. Do you have any closing words?

It was great to share about myself with the HackerNoon community. Keep an eye out for my future articles, and feel free to connect with me on Twitter or on LinkedIn and ask any questions. Thanks, everyone!
