Brave1, a defense technology cluster run by the Ukrainian government, has just launched a Test In Ukraine platform with a bold mission to “find technologies that can shift the course of war.” The platform invites international defense companies to test their military innovations directly on Ukraine’s battlefields.

The announcement was made at the LANDEURO Conference of the Association of the U.S. Army, taking place on July 16-17, 2025, in Wiesbaden, Germany. According to Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, over 2,000 American military leaders and defense organizations gathered to exchange knowledge on warfare innovation.

Ukraine is at the epicenter of a tech-driven war — a reality no other democratic country faces today,” Fedorov said, inviting foreign companies to bring their military tech solutions to Ukraine’s frontlines. The goal is to accelerate innovation cycles, streamline defense supply chains, and unlock access to new markets.

The Test In Ukraine platform offers:

  • Direct access to combat-tested military units: International companies are welcome to co-develop and refine their products with frontline users, leveraging real battlefield feedback.
  • Fully equipped testing environments allow them to trial their solutions in combat-simulated or real battlefield conditions.
  • Structured feedback and data protocols: They will receive comprehensive performance reports and insights for validation and product improvement.
  • Matchmaking with Ukrainian manufacturers for co-production and rapid deployment of military tech solutions.

Two testing scenarios are available:

  1. Test together: Companies can come to Ukraine to deploy their products directly, participate in live testing, and make real-time adjustments.
  2. Remote deployment: Companies can hand over solutions to Brave1, provide remote training, and receive detailed test reports from Brave1’s team.

Priority testing areas include:

UAVs, UGVs, counter-UAS systems, ammunition, naval drones, laser and EMW weapons, navigation and communication tech, AI/ML applications, electronic warfare, signals intelligence, missiles, and propulsion systems.

The platform is now open for applications from companies worldwide seeking to contribute to Ukraine’s defense innovation efforts and victory.
