Hybrid Transactional Analytical Platform (HTAP) is a new kind of database that distributes data across multiple servers to achieve scale and performance for hybrid workloads. HTAP is a term coined by Gartner to describe the emerging database technologies and applications that can deliver both online transaction processing (OLTP) and analytical processing. The experiments were performed on the Splice Machine open source RDBMS platform-as-a-service on AWS. We’ve made it available to try for free on clusters located here.via the TL;DR App
