Google will invest $40 billion in Texas through 2027, the company announced on Nov. 14.

The investment includes new data center campuses in Armstrong and Haskell Counties, a $30 million Energy Impact Fund, and thousands of megawatts of new clean energy capacity.

Google also plans to support training for more than 1,700 electrical workers and apprentices as part of the expansion.

The investment marks one of Google’s largest commitments in the state to date. In its announcement, the company said the expansion aims to strengthen local infrastructure while supporting long-term demand for computational power.

“Our latest investment in Texas is designed to not only support Texas’ workforce and infrastructure, but to ensure the U.S. retains the technical backbone to lead the world in AI,” Google stated.
