2016 has been an important year for Apple’s iOS app developer academy as it expands around the world with centers in Italy, Brazil, India, and Indonesia.

Apple’s academies will provide a specialized curriculum preparing thousands of future developers to be part of Apple’s thriving developer community. The company will also work with local partners to develop training opportunities to complement Apple’s own curriculum and create additional opportunities for students.

Announcing its second-ever app developer academy in Naples, Italy — the first in Europe — Apple’s CEO Tim Cook said the company expects to bring the program to other countries around the world. The new app academy in Naples is already operational with 200 students from Italy and other European countries, including Latvia, Germany, and the Netherlands.

The phenomenal success of the App Store is one of the driving forces behind the more than 1.4 million jobs Apple has created in Europe and presents unlimited opportunities for people of all ages and businesses of all sizes across the continent.

1.ITALY — “Europe is home to some of the most creative developers in the world and we’re thrilled to be helping the next generation of entrepreneurs in Italy get the skills they need for success,” Cook says.

  1. INDIA — “India is home to one of the most vibrant and entrepreneurial iOS development communities in the world ,” Cook announces. “With the opening of this new facility in Bengaluru, we’re giving developers access to tools which will help them create innovative apps for customers around the world.”

  2. INDONESIA — “Apple announced a new commitment to build an iOS App Development Center in Indonesia — the Embassy of Indonesia in Washington DC writes in a statement — This development center will be the first of its kind in Asia.”
