TLDR
The last few months have seen an increasing amount of innovation in token sale models. Many of these mechanisms have arisen as responses to perceived failures in previous designs. Nearly every significant sale has been met with a substantial amount of criticism. So far, we have still not yet discovered a mechanism that has all, or even most, of the properties that we would like, that we want to avoid if there is a convenient way to do so.
