With Marvel’s Phase 4 ending, it’s time to look at the future. At 2022’s San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel announced a slew of projects for Phases 5 and 6. Phase 5 begins next year, so let’s look at what fans can look forward to then.

Newer characters like Echo, Ironheart, and Agatha will be getting the spotlight with their own shows, and established characters like Loki and Daredevil will be gaining new seasons. With that said, here are all the Marvel Phase 5 tv shows. Warning: there will be spoilers throughout the article.

Marvel Phase 5 TV Shows

  1. What If…?
  2. Secret Invasion
  3. Echo
  4. Loki
  5. Ironheart
  6. Agatha: Coven of Chaos
  7. Daredevil: Born Again

1. What If…? Season 2

What If is a show that takes a look at “what if” scenarios. We know what happens in the main Marvel Cinematic Universe, but this show lets creativity run wild as anything goes; nothing is sacred. What if Black Panther became Star-Lord? What if Peggy Carter was given the Super Soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers? What If answers these questions and more; the show gives you questions and answers that you didn’t even know you were looking for.

According to Variety, What If will not only get a second season but also a third season. The publication says that What If is scheduled to arrive in early 2023. But what can we expect from the second season? How can things get even wackier? Well, Variety explains that one of the episodes will take place in the 17th century. So, it looks like things will get pretty crazy.

2. Secret Invasion

Starring the ever-incredible Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Secret Invasion is a show that will have viewers wondering who is actually who. That’s because it will focus on the Skrulls, an alien race that has the ability to shapeshift. Marvel.com says that the “series showcases a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years.”

The Marvel website also gave us a rundown of what other actors we can expect in this who’s who tv show. Also joining Samuel L. Jackson are Ben Mendelsohn, Emilia Clarke, and Olivia Colman. Secret Invasion doesn't come out until Spring 2023, so until then, you’re going to have to keep wondering who’s a shapeshifting alien and who’s not.

3. Echo

Fresh off the heels of Hawkeye, Echo will be getting her own tv show. Formerly the leader of the Tracksuit Mafia, Echo’s life has changed after her encounters with Hawkeye. Now, viewers will follow the titular character on her new journey. Although we managed to get glimpses of her backstory in Hawkeye, it seems that this tv show will give viewers a clearer look at her life.

Because according to Marvel.com:

“She must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward.”

Fans of Echo will have to wait until Summer 2023 to see the character back in action.

4. Loki Season 2

The first season of Loki ended with a gigantic bang. Major spoilers are about to be dropped right now, so don’t read the next paragraph if you haven’t watched or finished season 1.

At the end of the season, Sylvie killed He Who Remains, which leads to the multiverse expanding unchecked. Why was the multiverse being trimmed in the first place? Well, that’s because Kang and all his counterparts started a multiversal war against each other.

Now, Loki will have to deal with the ramifications of what this means. In the very last scene of season 1, we can already see that things have changed drastically. So, in season 2, fans can expect even more wildness.

Since phases 4, 5, and 6 have been dubbed “The Multiverse Saga”, and since Loki season 1 essentially kickstarted it, this makes season 2 a must-see. Loki season 2 is set to release in the summer of 2023, and out of all of the Marvel Phase 5 shows, it’s one of the most anticipated.

5. Ironheart

At the time of writing, this character has yet to make an appearance in the MCU. However, that’s going to change very soon. Riri Williams, better known as Ironheart, is set to make her debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. After that, she’ll star in her self-titled Disney Plus show. But who is Riri Williams? And why is she called Ironheart?

Marvel.com says that she is a “genius inventor”. Taking up after Iron Man, Williams creates a suit of her own. Although she has plenty of stories in the comics, not much is known about the MCU’s version of Williams. To get to know her better, fans will have to watch the Black Panther sequel. Ironheart is set to release in the fall of 2023.

6. Agatha: Coven of Chaos

This is a character we have seen before in the MCU, in fact, she was the villain in WandaVision. Agatha Harkness, played by the amazing Kathryn Hahn, will be getting her own show in the winter of 2023. However, not much is known about it, not even which characters will be a part of it, or what it will be about.

Regardless, Harkness left a lasting impression on WandaVision, and fans can’t wait to see what type of trouble she will get into in Coven of Chaos.

7. Daredevil: Born Again

Out of all of the Marvel Phase 5 tv shows, this might be the one that fans are the most excited to see. They have been clamoring for the return of actor Charlie Cox as Daredevil for a long time and for the return of his tv show. Well, their dreams finally came true.

Daredevil’s original show ran for three seasons on Netflix before ending. However, it remains to be seen whether Born Again will be a continuation of that, or if it will be a reboot of some kind. We’ll get the answer to that question and plenty more because the tv show will be 18 episodes long. This show won’t air until 2024, but fans are happy to know that they’ll see more of the Man Without Fear.
