Just three months into 2022, the crypto world has already witnessed the spurring growth of NFTs, which has become a popular topic among millennials and celebrities in recent times on social media.
There are a number of women-themed projects on the rise in the NFT market, including the most famous World of Women, the Asian women-themed 8SIAN, and Boss Beauty in partnership with Marvel.
These female-themed NFT projects are not just an investment, but also focus on philanthropic activities, call for gender equality, promote women’s education, and more, aiming to create a more diverse and inclusive space in the blockchain and NFT world.

World of Women

The World of Women project now has 120,000 followers on Twitter; 5,100 owners with a 55.4K ETH trading volume on OpenSea. The project has helped showcase women’s influence, inclusivity, and equality for all and exploration in television, film, music. Reese Witherspoon is the first celebrity to start the trend, and her media company Hello Sunshine will collaborate with WoW on TV shows, live events, and more.
The 2022 Billboard Women in Music Awards honors Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, and Madonna. World of Women has been asked to create NFT headshot covers for the three divas. World of Women also announced a partnership with Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary.
WoW has donated to numerous charitable programs and organizations, including Too Young to Wed, which fights child marriage, and She’s the First, which seeks educational opportunities for girls in many countries.

Boss Beauties 

The motto of Boss Beauties is “women can be whatever they want to be” and supports women’s empowerment. After last year’s NFT collaboration with Marvel, Boss Beauties has announced another highly anticipated partnership with Barbie.
One of the 10,000 NFT PFPs from the Boss Beauties collection is being preserved and displayed as a physical artwork on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Founder Lisa Mayer said this historic feat is a testament to Boss Beauties’ commitment to supporting women’s education.
Today, the Boss Beauty Role Models NFT art collection will be on display at the United Nations headquarters in New York. The United Nations (UN) will celebrate this year’s March 8th Women’s Day with the first female-focused NFT exhibition. On March 8th, the female-led Boss Beauties will launch its new NFT art collection entitled “Boss Beauty Role Models” at UN Headquarters in New York. To organize this year’s live event, the UN is working with the fledgling consulting firm 5th Element Group, an outgrowth of My Social Canvas, a company founded by Lisa Mayer, who has been supporting women through mentoring and scholarships for a decade.
The Boss Beauties collection was launched on OpenSea in September and included 10,000 NFTs — featuring digital portraits that capture the beauty and diversity of women. It has 56,000 followers on Twitter, 5,500 owners on OpenSea with a 12,500 ETH trading volume. 
The new collection, Boss Beauty Role Models, brings together artwork from artists around the world to showcase the empowered women in their lives. Lisa Mayer said, “The unveiling of the Boss Beauty Role Models collection at the United Nations will be a historical moment that we are extremely proud of.” The Role Models collection will be sold through a charity auction on the day before International Women’s Day this year. Proceeds will be donated to Boss Beauties’ fund for women and scholarships for female students through the non-profit organization My Social Canvas. Mayer added, “It is significant to be the first NFT art collection to be displayed at the United Nations. It also empowers our larger mission to empower women and girls at the forefront of technology, leadership and creativity.”

Women Rise

Created by world-renowned artist Maliha Abidi, Women Rise’s 10,000 randomly generated, unique NFT artworks bring together women worldwide, including activists, artists, scientists, programmers, and other female professionals.
Women Rise’s mission is to build a community of like-minded people through the NFT project and encourage more women to enter the fields of technology, blockchain, and NFT. It has an ultimate goal to build the first school in the metaverse for the 258 million children worldwide who are not receiving an education, 129 million girls.
Women Rise has 46100 Twitter followers with 5700 owners and 5,500 ETH trading volume on Opensea.

8SIAN

The 8SIAN series consists of 8,888 NFTs, all of which feature Asian women with a distinctly Asian style, dressed in cheongsams, palace dresses, etc. The intricate details imply historical significance.
The team is committed to integrating 8SIAN into Web 3.0 and building a decentralized autonomous organization, believing that linking Asian culture to the metaverse is an inevitable trend.

The Flower Girls

Created by Russian artist Varvara Alay in December 3th 2021, the 10,000 unique flower girls are hand-painted. Like Boss Beauties and WoW before it, Flower Girls is also driven by philanthropy, Varvara Alay has been donating most of the proceeds to support children’s artists, with 20% going to a range of children’s charities and the other 5% to collect related NFT art. 
The Flower Girls has 21000 Twitter followers with 4200 owners and 4000 ETH trading volume on OpenSea.
