Bitcoin hasn't succeeded in decentralizing access to financial services. Facebook's Libra plans to bank the unbanked by offering tokens to anyone with a Facebook account. Bitcoin has picked up a new and improved use case as a store of value or “digital gold” But the specific problem of banking the. unbanked requires something a completely decentralized cryptocurrency can’t provide: a team and executable business model that reaches the last mile. Facebook is going to need support from local governments, state and governing bodies to make this work.
