More than 30% of the world’s population is unbanked with a big number of countries hitting the mark of 70%. People can't get an account for so many reasons: lack of trust in formal financial institutions and/or government, lack of papers to simply apply, opening and maintaining costs, and some people live in remote areas where they can't even get to a bank. Having designed the financial sector is not designed to bring the unbanked into developing economies in Asia, I realized that the banking system is not quickly working with lots of data on developing economies.
