Experty Blockchain Human knowledge Exchange Experty is a new, decentralized platform designed to assist in the sharing of knowledge, whilst ensuring that knowledge providers are compensated correctly, and knowledge seekers are getting the information they paid for. Real World Application What problems does Experty solve? In the current information age the sharing of knowledge has become an industry in of itself. Consultancy services encompass almost every type of business in the world, and these services don’t come cheap. Another major issue is security and trust. In order to carry out the transaction either the client must pay upfront and hope the provider will deliver on their promise, or the provider must give up their knowledge prior to receiving payment, which presents them with the same trust issue regarding payment. For this reason third-party intermediaries are often used, however, these large firms charge high rates for managing the knowledge providers companies are seeking to find. This severely limits the amount of information that can be managed by consultants, especially for smaller packets of information that are simply too cheap for third-parties to profit from. Furthermore it’s often unclear how consultants are charging for their services, which can lead to huge bills being racked up before the client is fully aware. And in many cases, the high cost of consultants does not warrant paying for information, and as a result both parties lose out. Experty solves those issues by providing a decentralized platform where providers can securely share their knowledge, whilst guaranteeing payment from the seeker without the worry of fraudulent activity causing either party to lose out. And since transactions cost almost next to nothing, any size of transaction maybe conducted. This opens up the possibility for even more experts in a particular field to share their knowledge, be it singly as a one person knowledge providers, or as company/business offering its own consultancy services. How Does Experty Work? Experty aims to revolutionise the way in which we share information. By revamping the traditional consultancy model and migrating the process online, the team will create a decentralized hub, powered by blockchain, where providers can list their available knowledge, and those seeking such knowledge may come to find it. The platform allows providers to advertise their services and set a rate per minute for their knowledge. Seekers may find the “knowledge” services advertised online, or directly at the exchange, and select the service to be connected with the provider. The knowledge is then exchanged via video or audio call, and charges are applied during the call at a rate set by the provider. Benefits of Experty The decentralized nature of the platform is highly secure and prevents outside DDOS attacks from taking down the system. Experty will reach all corners of the globe and remove regional restrictions such as time zones, and currency exchange rates. Virtually no fees means users can perform microtransactions for smaller amount of money that would normally not be viable with current international transfer fees. Services may be easily advertisted on websites, blogs and social media platforms, using QR codes and direct call links. Technology Behind Experty On-chain payments are executed using smartcontracts, however the team has developed off chain software to handles transaction if the blockchain posses any inefficiencies when handling calls. Smartcontracts have the ability to know if the caller has enough funds to continue with the call, and will cut communications, with a warning, should funds start running low. They also execute payments automatically and only applied during the time at which the knowledge is being shared All transactions on the platform will be charged in Experty Tokens, or EXY tokens, an ERC223 token on the Ethereum blockchain. The ERC223 token requires less Gas than the ERC20, and prevents the risk of tokens being lost. It is also fully compatible with ERC20. These will be used to for payments between seekers and providers, as depostis from seekers for bookings with a knowledge providers, and to be staked by users for access to premium features such as scheduling, paid group calls, and conversation recording. The backend of the system comprises of 6 different components, these include: : All video and audio communication in the application uses the WebRTC protocol, also used in Whatsapp and Google Hangouts, to provide peer to peer data encryption. WebRTC Protocol : These call links will be available on the Experty marketplace, and can also be used online in websites, blogs and social media platforms. Full Decentralised Call Links : Instant payments will be execute by smartcontracts on the Ethereum blockchain upon completion of the call. Instant Payments : This application allows user to make calls to providers. It will be available for iOS, Windows and Android and will also be ingetrated into popular third-party applications for ease of use. Cross Platform Calling Application : This will show knowledge seekers when the provider is available; their working hours, as well as when they are already booked. Availablility Schedule : The wallet will allow users to manage their funds, and be exchanged with other cryptos. Payments will be taken out of the wallet upon completion of the knowledge exchange. Ethereum Wallet Who will use Experty? There are three types of users who may benefit from Experty platform, these include: : The party with the “knowledge” to share with those whom it may be applicable. Knowledge Providers : The party interested in gaining the knowledge. Knowledge Seeker : Companies with an existing client base in the consulting industry. Third-party Services The teams sees a wide range of applications for the platform, many of which are at the heart of expensive industries such as lawyers, medical consultancy, programmers, business advisors, professors, and language learning. By introducing an extremely cheap, decentralized platform that is agnostic to specific fields of industry, Experty has the potential to completely transform the way we share knowledge.
