Node.js, Socket.IO, Redis, Node.JS, Socketio-IO, and Redis set up a simple front-end client and server for a web socket game. We need to set up some basic logic to perform the connect/disconnect and hook up our status and token inputs. Letting users connect without knowing who they are is of little use to us. We assume that the connection uses SSL/TLS once deployed and never use an unencrypted connection. We will use socketio-auth to authenticate users and verify them against known users.
