Back in the 80s and early 90s, there was a that would constantly play advertising space camps in Huntsville, Alabama and Titusville, Florida. I was enthralled. The inner being in me wanting to go boldly into space. commercial Unfortunately, being first generation my family could not afford to send me despite excelling in all areas of schooling. As many expatriates do in their adoptive country, my Father fell in love with baseball and gave me two choices: Baseball player or Lawyer (I met representatives of the famed Winston & Strawn Law Firm in 7th grade and thought: I want to do that!). However, I still craved the unknown, the newness of things. My mother, an elementary school computer science teacher for the past 30+ years instilled in me that newness could be found learning new things in a square box, a whole World awaited me. As I entered University as a computer science major, I still needed to have a creative outlet in which I would be able to forge my own path. I needed to be water and to the chagrin of my parents, I subverted their direction and instead of going to law school, I decided to enter the film industry. After a decade in the wild world of film and entertainment, and crowdfunding became attractive as raising money for films (and all startups really) had always been a very hard undertaking. Then in 2016, someone passed me along the . the JOBS Act bitcoin whitepaper I was hooked. By the way, if you have not read it but you’re interested in this space, you’re doing yourself a major disservice. This cultural shift has far reaching implications philosophically, technologically, and economically like the World has never seen. At System 9, I now have the good fortune to work with well-accomplished and exceptional people. The internet’s heuristic paradigm provided the information for all people to learn just about anything under the sun. There is no excuse anymore. The barriers of entry to knowledge continue to come down. At times I thought that this peripatetic methodology would only lead me to small successes. However, Emilie Wapnick’s opened my eyes to the World of multipotentialites. TED Talk Not only is this something I embody to the core, but I believe the World is filled with these people who crave the ability to be more using their treasure trove of natural + learned skills. What is blockchain but a response to doing things better? And with that notion, that is what System 9 is all about as well. Doing things better with the technology we now have at our fingertips. With blockchain’s coming of age moment as Coinbase publicly lists, where we go from here is a bit unknown but no less exciting. My summation is that as the technology continues to evolve, it will be used in ways that are invisible to the end individual. I believe we are genuinely creating the tools and infrastructure that can become the building blocks that leads to a more humanistic approach to Capitalism. Unfortunately, as our fragmented, frayed economic systems have lumbered forward, the wealth continues to accumulate at the top with very little “ ” to the and humans the world over. Rather, by providing systems that democratically allow all to participate, the system as a whole is made that much stronger. trickling down hoi polloi In my humble opinion, it’s the reason why VCs have spent exorbitant amounts of money simply because a company has the market share of individuals across the globe. It’s people power. And while there are many snollygosters everywhere ready to bamboozle you, I do believe that the overwhelming majority of people want to do what is right. The network effect that we see has continued to compound in an industry built upon changing the status quo. They say that you should always surround yourself with people who are much more intelligent than you if you hope to learn and grow. that I often feel like I am sometimes the dumbest person in the room. While I have a great many skills that bring value to the table, the amount of brain-power at System 9 is astounding It’s why I return to the title of this article and remind myself to ‘be water.’ That role is important too, but don’t take it from me - take it from another “dumb” person: Simon Sinek. Being flummoxed is natural with the dizzying amount of information coming to us at breakneck speed. It’s also why it’s important to take the time to meditate, to reset and kvell over the successes of your life and society as a whole. Be water. It is a feature most games will have, being able to pause the game. For most parts of the game it can be implemented by simply not updating positions or preventing logic from being executed. However, many objects will be controlled through physics or may be moving around automatically. Whilst developing a game I came across this situation and to solve the problem wrote a simple C# script to pause and resume any RigidBody2D. <a href="https://medium.com/media/004b5da622d8d00d0d93ad9fac427460/href">https://medium.com/media/004b5da622d8d00d0d93ad9fac427460/href</a> When you call Pause() the velocity and angular velocity is saved and the body made kinematic, preventing the physics object from moving anymore. If you wish to just re-enable the physics you can call Reactivate() and then apply some forces to the body. Alternatively, a call to Resume() will restore the velocity and angular velocity from before and then resume it. Now when you pause and resume your game you can simply call pause and resume on any PausableRigidBody2D objects which are active in view. Enjoy!

We're reducing the scope of the test, which might perpetuate some bugs. Integration Tests Opposite to unit tests, integration tests examine the interactions between multiple units, providing a more comprehensive picture of the system's health. While they cover broader scenarios, their setup can be more complex due to the interactions involved. However, they are crucial in catching bugs that arise from the interplay between different software components. In general, mocking can be used in integration tests, but it is discouraged. They take longer to run and are sometimes harder to set up. However, many developers (myself included) would argue that they are the only benchmark for quality. Most bugs express themselves in the seams between the modules and integration tests are better at detecting that. Since they are far more important, some developers would argue that unit tests are unnecessary. This isn't true; unit test failures are much easier to read and understand. Since they are faster, we can run them during development and even while typing. In that sense, the balance between the two approaches is the important part. Coverage Coverage is a metric that helps quantify the effectiveness of testing by indicating the proportion of code exercised by tests. It helps identify potential areas of the code that have not been tested, which could harbor undetected bugs. However, striving for 100% coverage can be a case of diminishing returns; the focus should remain on the quality and relevance of the tests rather than the metric itself. In my experience, chasing high coverage numbers often results in bad test practices that persist in problems. It is my opinion that unit tests should be excluded from coverage metrics due to the importance of integration tests to overall quality. To get a sense of quality coverage, we should focus on integration and end-to-end tests. We test each new breed against current circumstances (often imagined) and those that don’t fit are “killed” off and those that do “survive” are tested in the real world and if successful stored for later use. But here I discovered the problem. We have a purpose. We are trying to achieve a goal. Cultures and societies can and do collapse – the death of a species – they can also spread memes like genes which hold the information for future use. But both animals and societies (groups of animals) have purpose.  In simple life forms the reproduction of the species is the purpose that drives everything. In simple cultures (groups) it is also the maintaining of the individuals to reproductive age to spread the species. But what is the purpose of the universe? What could the intrinsic purpose of a rock be?\ We, of course, have many purposes that are not directly related to the extension or maintenance of the entire species instead many relate solely to a good and happy life. Many people don’t breed but still have purpose. Humans just like many animals have dopamine receptors which give us pleasure from certain activities, and stress responses that cause us discomfort from bad experiences. Many of our evolutionary choice processes are driven by the desire to maximize pleasure and minimize pain. In a grander sense, we can invent purposes for ourselves. Be it making the world a better place or being the best footballer ever. Purpose seems to be a fluid thing, one that bends and maybe even forms from the environment and society in which we live. It may not need a linear root at all. Some people commit suicide and there is some speculation that whales may beach themselves as a form of suicide. That goes against the central purpose to progress the species. And, most importantly, many people never have children but still have purpose. Our need for a purpose to evolution is the way we try to interpret and understand the world. We want linear connections; we want a cause and effect. But there can be no ultimate cause, for nothing could cause it. Linear lines are endless. I am trying to get away from this way of thinking in this article about evolution being the way to comprehend the universe. However, there may be a way for our linear mind to understand such a concept. Perhaps the universe works in the same way as our brain. It does not need an intrinsic purpose from which all sub-purposes branch. Each micro-part, each atom, each string, and each energy field constantly adapts to the other fields and particles around it, and to the larger form, planets, stars, and gravity. An inter-loop of 4 (and possibly more) dimensional informational transfers; small to large, group and field to group, and field is all in constant flow. Constantly adapting to itself. It just is, and will, continue to be but in a constantly changing and interactive way.
