We identified unique tradeoffs and dimensions between energy consumption and inference latency SLOs and empirically demonstrated hidden components in optimizing energy consumption. We then propose an optimization framework that automatically and holistically tunes various hardware components to find a configuration aligned with the Pareto Frontier. We empirically verify the effectiveness and efficiency of PolyThrottle. PolyThrottle also adapts to the need for fine-tuning and proposes a simple performance prediction model to adaptively schedule finetuning requests while keeping the online inference workload under the inference latency SLO whenever possible. The novel form of vessel, to which the above odd name has been given by its inventor, M. Donato Tommasi, of Paris, France, is a combination of a boat wholly submerged with a raft: a connecting link, to borrow the naturalist's expression, between the submerged torpedo boat and the monitor. The advantages which are expected to be realized from this hybrid craft, the inventor describes as follows: "It is evident that a vessel, plunged several yards below the surface of the sea, is no longer influenced by wind or wave. Let the sea be agitated, let there be the most violent tempest, yet the boat which navigates under water will never be wrecked, for the same reason that a fish cannot be drowned. * * * What a beautiful vision, that of traversing the ocean, as a balloon floats through the air, with the same tranquillity, without shocks, without the insupportable rolling and pitching!" etc. The construction of the invention introduced in this glowing manner will be understood from Figs. 1 and 2. A is the plunger cylinder, shown with its side broken away in Fig. 2. In Fig. 1, G is the rudder, H the propeller, and I the tube through which sea water passes to the pump. In Fig. 2, C is the smokestack, M M are compartments in which water may be admitted to increase the weight, and hence the depth of flotation of the plunger, the same being filled or emptied by the pump, P. N is the hold for merchandise, partitioned off from the boiler room as shown. From the plunger, A, rise two hollow columns, E, to which metallic plates, F, are attached to diminish friction through the water. These support the upper division or platform, B. The second shaft (not lettered), which rises above the platform in Fig. 1, serves to ventilate the plunger. The columns, E, serve as shoots down which merchandise is lowered to the compartments, N; and their upper ends are received in two immense inverted cups attached to the bottom of the part, B. Through these cups pass large screws, which confine the columns so that, by removing the connection, the whole submarine apparatus may in case of necessity be freed from the upper works. On each side of the platform, B, which is of elliptical figure, is a large float, seen in Fig. 3, which, by means of racks and gearing, may be raised or lowered at will. Usually these floats are carried at a height of a yard above the water. In calm weather, this distance is increased, and in storms it is diminished, the object of the floats being to keep the whole vessel on an even plane, and to prevent too violent oscillations. In order to facilitate navigation in shallow water, the columns, E, may be made telescopic, and operated by hydraulic apparatus, so that they may be shortened at will. Any form of engine or propeller may be used. Besides the advantage of the vessel being unaffected by waves, since its submerged portion travels far below them, the inventor claims that it will meet less resistance from the water than would a vessel of corresponding volume sailing on the surface. It will make faster progress, because it has no waves to mount and descend; and hence it always travels in a nearly right line. The screw being submerged at a great depth will not tend to turn the vessel from her straight path. The platform being easily detachable may serve as a raft in case of injury to the submarine boat. For fast travel, on lakes, rivers, and shallow water generally, M. Tommasi proposes to support his platform on two floats which rest on the surface of the water. No weight, therefore, is thrown on the submarine vessel, which need be constructed with only just enough buoyancy to sustain itself and its engine. In this way, the upper craft has no engine or other load than its cargo; and as it merely rests upon the surface, the inventor thinks that it will skim over the same like an ice boat on ice. For war purposes, the hemi-plunger is especially adapted, because the vulnerable portions, engines, boiler, rudder, etc., are wholly out of the reach of shot. Guns are mounted on the platform, which thus becomes a circular or elliptical turret, just above the water when the vessel is in fighting trim. Instead of steel armor, M. Tommasi has a new invention which he calls hydro-metallic plating. He reserves the details of this for future publication; but generally the armor consists of tubes in which liquid is forced under a pressure equivalent to the resistance, say, of forged steel. He thinks this will oppose shot as effectually as the solid metal, and will have the additional advantage of superior lightness. In-soles saturated with salicylic acid have been introduced as a remedy for perspiration of the feet. A WALK ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA

In this article, we examine the potential disruption of the radio host/live-stream industry through the use of artificial intelligence technology. By analyzing the average radio host salary, the number of spots per hour, the total words spoken per hour, and other factors such as music licensing fees, we demonstrate that it is possible to create a fully automated radio station using AI technology at a fraction of the cost of hiring human talent. We showcase a live demonstration of one such solution currently active under Avalon Star Streams brand, where after running songs from a creative commons music stream, the AI generates new radio content during breaks between those songs, even allowing the random selection of new songs if desired. Finally, we provide details on the tech stack utilized including NodeJS docker image which allows us to control ffmpeg streams and manage playlists efficiently. In fact, many industries ranging from customer service to journalism have already seen initial success with implementing chat-bots and machine-generated content due to economic advantages, even in sectors thought immune to technological takeover. Ultimately, it seems reasonable to assume a similar future for broadcasting markets like radio hosting. Examples Under our Avalon Star Stream brand, we set up a proof of concept showcasing the efficiency of AI assisted broadcasting. Leveraging open-source tools like ffmpeg and integrated within our custom NodeJS application framework managed through Docker, we were able to achieve a functioning automated live-stream setup complete with real-time generation capabilities for its intermission radio jockey. The system, under default settings, will play 3 songs before attempting a song-break. During the song-break our model analyzes prompts received online during the previous three musical sets and produces its own original written material targeting the donators thanking them, before reading an ad for an imaginary product and continuing. Our model is told take the persona of a Radio Host living within the by the name of “Antoni Starr”. Fallout 4 Universe Due to budget constraints, Antoni employs a cost-saving strategy. While generating content, there is a 10% chance, limited to once per hour, that his system dynamically pulls and generates a new song-break. This method adds an element of surprise and uniqueness to the show while optimizing production costs for the purpose of this tech demo. All other ad-reads will come from a previously generated grab-bag created during testing. Additionally, due to the channel being so new, we are unable to turn on the subscribers/memberships to be used during announcements. Tech Stack While I have not decided to release my code for this yet, I have decided to talk about the tech stack. As seen from the above image, the tool leveraging various technologies (FFmpeg, WebDAV, ChatGPT, EleventLabs, MongoDB) and the application combines them into a platform for live-stream generation. WebDAV + MongoDB This piece of the tech-stack is here to help record generated content and act as a file-store. The WebxDAV aspect allows us to remotely store the music files and download them at instantiation for the stream. ChatGPT + Eleven Labs These are the workhorses of the generative content. When time to generate a new ad-break we leverage ChatGPT API with our custom prompt to get the next script. Our prompt will be pre-seeded with name/information from stream donators and a random fake product to ad-read. FFmpeg The workhorse of streaming. FFmpeg is responsible for all audio/visual you see on the stream. from the static image overlay, to the encoded video playing on the TV and the audio you hear. FFmpeg is the magic behind it all. HTML/CSS/JavaScript Not seen in the diagram above, there is a management interface to tweak params of the running stream. This allows for the admin to force ad-breaks, tweak ad-break rate algorithm and more. Additionally, as mentioned previously, the entire platform is running off of NodeJS Conclusion We examined the possibility of replacing radio hosts with artificial intelligence and concluded that, given certain conditions, it may indeed be possible to do so. Our findings suggest that AI-powered radio stations would have clear financial advantages over their human counterparts and be capable of producing high-quality content equal to or surpassing that of human DJs. Further consideration should be done to ensure that listeners remain engaged and attuned to the program’s offerings amidst such developments. Overall, while the idea of a completely automated radio station or live-stream, with a dynamic voiced personality, may initially seem farfetched, the reality is that emerging technologies are quickly making the notion feasible and practical. Thus, business leaders must recognize the changing landscape and adapt accordingly before they risk being left behind in an ever evolving marketplace. The first part of the ML protocol involves the user's request to do an ML login. Does a user want to use an ML, and if so how do they let us know that? Let's assume the user has to request an ML login to initiate the protocol, though you could just send ML's to all your clients for say an ad campaign. So for example to request an ML a user could provide an Email or an SMS address, or if the system preregisters users perhaps their user name, maybe even an ID or address for a connected key fob device or special host. This request for an ML could be a user entry or automata provided. The second part of the protocol is our response or reply to an ML request. To respond to the user's request for an ML we need some address or means of contacting the user to provide or deliver that ML (or other info, say an error message) to them.
