The Star was a 'strange wanderer' that appeared early in the 20th century. Wells: A vast mass of matter rushed without warning out of the black mystery of the sky into the radiance of the sun. For it was a world, a sister planet of our earth, that had been struck and squarely by the death of Neptune.
