For example, BlockInvest collaborated with the Bank of Italy and Credit Agricole to conduct a tokenized SME bond trial using a public blockchain. This initiative was part of the Bank of Italy's Fintech Milano Hub's series of DLT trials, focusing on debt instruments issued by Italian SMEs, particularly bonds. The tokenized bond solution aimed to empower individuals to invest in SME debt instruments. While the offering was accessible on public blockchains like Ethereum and Polygon, only accredited investors were able to purchase the tokens. BlockInvest also explored the possibility of a secondary market using its blockchain standard, ensuring interoperability among tokens issued by different entities. This initiative significantly increased accessibility and liquidity in the SME bond market. Another example is SeedSet which developed a crowdfunding platform on Bitcoin using Mintlayer. Their comprehensive tokenization solution targeted financial and investment services, primarily for startups and SMEs. They offered an end-to-end issuing solution, facilitating the transfer and management of digital assets.
