Some new AI-enabled text generators are starting to evolve into more mature systems that are almost indistinguishable from human-written text. The state of AI NLP development has now reached the point that the industry as a whole is going to have to start coming to grips with the ethical implications of what they're creating – lest we end up with a repeat of the deepfake scare that garnered so much attention in recent years.
