I tried all the things mentioned, plus I renamed my wife’s iPhone, all to no avail. What worked was factory resetting my 2021 Honda Accord stereo. Root cause: possibly because I connected my Samsung through Android Auto. I had also brought it to the dealer that day for an oil change, but I don’t think they did anything related to the stereo.
