Too Long; Didn't Read

Apache Cassandra is an extremely powerful No.SQL database used by Apple, CERN, GitHub, Instagram, Netflix, Reddit and over 1500 more companies with large, active data sets. It enables developers to scale their databases dynamically, using off-the-shelf hardware, with no downtime. Cassandra also has a masterless architecture – any node in the database can provide the exact same functionality as any other node – contributing to Cassandra’s robustness and resilience. Cassandra is lightweight, open-source, non-relational, and largely distributed.
