In November 1987, a masked man interrupted two Chicago TV stations with a frightening video message. Federal agencies searched for the perpetrator, but for 30 years, they could never figure out who did it. The incident gained notoriety, becoming the basis for a scare message on forums and YouTube called "The Wyoming Incident" The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) wanted to follow up on the incident, but the investigation stalled. Eventually, the agency found several leads, including the location of the video recording.
