Thomas Cherickal studied at Patrician College of Arts and Science, Chennai. He was awarded the prestigious NTSE scholarship while still in school at Chettinad Vidyashram. During college, he led multiple teams to seven overall technical inter-collegiate computer science symposiums, acting as team captain and tech lead. He was also awarded the joint second rank in the TANCET entrance exam on a national level. He worked in the software industry for two years. But he was soon drawn towards more creative endeavors and humanistic avenues, such as writing technical articles about his favorite research interests, singing and playing the violin in Christian music ministry in churches and prayer meetings, singing in professional acappella choirs, and social work in Missionaries of Charity centers. He is currently working on a book 'The Local Budget LLM CookBook' about running local offline LLMs, Essential Prompt Engineering techniques, and the latest advances in Generative AI, scheduled for release in September 2024. He would like to collaborate in research in: 1) Formulating machine learning models as chaotic systems and studying the strange attractors they generate. 2) AGI and the underlying promise of the MLLMs to reveal strong AGI when paired with reinforcement learning and autonomous agents. 3) Complexity theory and the point of emergence of human-like conversation while training LLMs to identify underlying systems theory. He is open to full-time remote writing jobs and being paid to author easy-to-read entertainingly witty books that explain complex theories such as quantum computation to the average undergraduate first-year college student.
