The Conventional Wisdom is the first thing introduced is the Dockerfile. A Dockerfile is a way to package your application, and honestly, you really shouldn’t. Development and production are not the same environment. If your Dockerfile contains an npm install you’ve gone too far. If you want to use a Dockerfile for development, it’s the wrong approach for development.
