After weeks of uncertainty and criticism from <a href="https://hackernoon.com/tagged/developers" target="_blank">developers</a> and major Open Source players (including <a href="https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-303" target="_blank">Apache </a>and <a href="https://ma.tt/2017/09/on-react-and-wordpress/" target="_blank">WordPress</a>), Facebook (‘FB’) <a href="https://code.facebook.com/posts/300798627056246/relicensing-react-jest-flow-and-immutable-js/" target="_blank">announced </a>they will be re-licensing their <a href="https://facebook.github.io/react/" target="_blank">React </a>JavaScript library (and other projects) under the popular <a href="https://spdx.org/licenses/MIT" target="_blank">MIT open source license</a>.
